چکیده

The sulfate ester of 7V-hydroxy-2-acetamidophenanthrene was prepared and was found to react significantly with methionine, adenosine, and guanosine. The adduci from the methionine reaction was characterized as 1-methylmercapto-2acetamidophenanthrene. The levels of reaction with adenosine and guanosine were comparable, in contrast with the observation that TV-acetoxy-2-acetamidofluorene shows a marked preference for guanosine as a substrate among the nucleosides. Although the level of reaction was lower, 7V-acetoxy-2-acetamidophenanthrene also reacted equally well with adenosine and guanosine. Molecular orbital calculations suggested that the previously studied adduct-forming abilities of jV-acetoxy-TV-arylacetamides might be related to their ability to form radical cations. On this basis, the abilities of these compounds to decolorize the stable free radical 2,2-diphenyl1-picrylhydrazyl were tested. jV-Acetoxy-2-acetamidofluorene rapidly decolorized 2,2-diphenyl-l-picrylhydrazyl in 20% ethanol at 45°, 7V-acetoxy-2-acetamidophenanthrene acted

بررسی برخی عوامل مرتبط با ظرفیت آنتی‌اکسیدانی تام بزاق

Introduction: Free radicals are molecules or atoms with single electron that results in reactions thus causing severe damages to the body’s macromolecules. By preventing the formation of free radicals, repairing damages caused by radical’s activities, increasing the excretion of the damaged molecules and minimizing the cellular mutation, the antioxidant defense system contrasts the damages caus...

Design and synthesis of new esters of terpenoid alcohols as 15-lipoxygenase inhibitors

Objective(s): 15-Lipoxygenases are one of the iron-containing proteins capable of performing peroxidation of unsaturated fatty acids in animals and plants. The critical role of enzymes in the formation of inflammations, sensitivities, and some cancers has been demonstrated in mammals. The importance of enzymes has led to the development of mechanistic studies, product analysis, and synthesis of ...

Antioxidant and Free Radical Scavenging Potential of Yakuchinone B Derivatives in Reduction of Lipofuscin Formation Using H2O2-Treated Neuroblastoma Cells

Background: The progressive accumulation of misfolded and aggregated proteins in neurons is an accepted mechanism in aging. Overproduction of reactive oxygen species (ROS), referred to as oxidative stress, is currently believed to play a pivotal role in this process. Lipofuscin as a histological index of aging results from cross-links between oxidized proteins and lipids. Therefore, to attenuat...
